“A quick piece of advice for anyone navigating Korea’s overwhelming amount of plastic surgery information.” 🙌

These days, plastic surgery reviews feel completely different from how they used to be. A few years ago, when someone posted a surgery review, people generally accepted it as it was. They looked at the photos and thought, “Oh, this clinic produces results like this,” or “This person really changed a lot.” Of course, there was some editing back then, but it was mostly just brightness or color adjustments—nothing that looked like real manipulation. Because of that, reviews were considered fairly trustworthy.
But now, everything has changed. Photoshop is basic, and with the rise of advanced AI technology, altering a face has become incredibly easy. It’s not just about making the nose look higher or sharpening the jawline anymore—you can practically turn someone into a different person. And it’s not limited to photos; even videos can be realistically modified with AI. In the past, you only had to question photos, but now you find yourself wondering, “Is this even real?” when watching videos.
Because of these technological changes, there’s an ironic trend: plastic surgery reviews from about five years ago—before AI became mainstream—are considered more trustworthy. At that time, there simply wasn’t the kind of advanced AI editing we have now, so the chances of photos or videos being manipulated were much lower. Yes, there were still some heavy filters or strategic angles, but nothing close to the level of “creating an entirely different face.” That’s why many people believe reviews from that era are much closer to reality.
In today’s online communities, you often see comments like, “You can’t trust reviews anymore,” “Reviews from five years ago were more accurate,” or “Pre‑AI reviews are the real ones.” People who are considering plastic surgery want to know the actual results, but because technology has advanced so much, it has ironically become harder to find genuine information. It’s difficult to know which clinics are skilled or how certain procedures truly change someone’s appearance when both photos and videos can be manipulated so easily.
This is why older plastic surgery reviews have become more valuable. They’re relatively honest records, untouched by today’s overwhelming technology. For anyone thinking about getting surgery, reviews and community posts from that period can serve as more realistic references. As technology advances, finding real information becomes harder—making past records shine even brighter.
And one piece of advice for anyone navigating Korea’s massive plastic surgery information ecosystem:
With so much content out there, don’t rely on a single photo or video. Cross‑check multiple sources, look for long‑term updates, and prioritize reviews that show consistent progress over time. In a country overflowing with beauty information, careful filtering is your strongest tool.
