When these are performed together, the face is elevated in a direction similar to a ponytail, giving a refreshed and youthful appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In that video, I used a photo of Brad Pitt to explain this concept. I mentioned that Brad Pitt appeared to have undergone a ponytail\u2011type facelift, but likely a very subtle version\u2014something done lightly to avoid noticeable changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, looking at his recent photos, only about two years after that procedure, it seems that the lifted areas have already descended again. This raises an important question: Why did the results fade so quickly?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From a surgical perspective, I suspect that the procedure may not have included subperiosteal dissection\u2014the deep\u2011layer release beneath the periosteum that is essential for long\u2011lasting midface elevation. a question I receive frequently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Globally, many surgeons perform mini facelifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many perform midface lifts using devices like Endotine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But when it comes to true subperiosteal dissection combined with mini facelift techniques, the number of surgeons who do this is extremely small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I\u2019ve said before:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWorldwide, surgeons who perform only small mini facelifts and rely on Endotine for midface lifting are common.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But surgeons who perform deep subperiosteal dissection to elevate the midface\u2014like I do\u2014are extremely rare.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is not because the technique is ineffective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is because the technique is difficult, anatomically demanding, and requires years of experience with deep facial structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most clinics prefer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>small incisions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>shallow dissection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>quick recovery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But shallow dissection cannot performing mini facelifts with true subperiosteal dissection is almost zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2714 Kidarri Plastic Surgery is the only clinic in Korea that performs mini to Korea**<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This part is personal, but important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After reviewing countless international surgical videos, papers, and conference materials, I\u2019ve realized something:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2714 Outside of Korea, almost no surgeons perform ponytail\u2011style mini facelifts with true subperiosteal dissection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many perform superficial lifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many rely on Endotine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But very few elevate the midface from the deep structural layer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is unfortunate, because subperiosteal ponytail lifting is not just a cosmetic technique\u2014it is a structural rejuvenation method based on deep anatomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And so I want to say this clearly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2714 **If any surgeon abroad genuinely wants to learn this technique,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I would gladly teach it for free if they come to Korea.**<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I do not want this method to remain a \u201csecret technique.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If more surgeons understand deep anatomy and perform safer, more effective lifts, patients worldwide will benefit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If international surgeons visit Korea with sincere interest,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I would be happy to demonstrate the procedure, explain the principles, and share my experience openly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I hope that one day, this philosophy\u2014lifting the face from its true structural foundation\u2014spreads beyond Korea and becomes a global standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
